Rep. Hoxha Takes Oath Of Office

HARTFORD – January 8th, 2025 – Representative Joe Hoxha of the 78th General Assembly District was sworn in for his second term in the Connecticut General Assembly. Rep. Hoxha has been assigned to the Government Administration & Elections, Appropriations, and Banking committees.
Rep. Hoxha will continue to work through the legislature to secure more funding for the downtown development of Plymouth and will be particularly attentive to the ongoing nursing home sale involving Sheridan Woods and Countryside Manor.
Addressing the growing homelessness crisis in Bristol and across the state will also be a priority for Rep. Hoxha amongst many other initiatives also focused on helping the elderly and vulnerable populations. At the top of his list of priorities will be to address the out of control electric bills.
Rep Hoxha has already put in legislation to address this issue in the form of eliminating the Public Benefits charge, and halting the mandatory sourcing of “Renewable energy” which jacks up the the price of electrical generation and thus makes it more unaffordable for rate payers.
Please join Rep. Hoxha at his regular Coffee hours twice a month at either Eagles Nest in Terryville or Rodd’s in Bristol to discuss particular issues.
“I truly love my district, and I look forward to serving the good people of Bristol and Plymouth, my focus will be on the issues that matter most to them. I am honored and humbled to be entrusted once again by the people of the 78th!” Rep. Hoxha said on Opening Day.
