BRISTOL/PLYMOUTH – Rep. Joe Hoxha, R-Bristol, recently hosted successful Legislative Updates in Bristol and Plymouth, highlighting priorities for the 2024 Session and fielding questions from residents who attended both meetings.

In Bristol, Rep. Hoxha joined Cara Pavalock-D’Amato and Sen. Henri Martin as they addressed several concerns and questions about the renewed push by the majority party to ban the sales of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035. Rep. Hoxha was clear that he stood against this proposed ban, telling the nearly 50 people who attended that they shouldn’t have to be forced to buy an electric vehicle.

In Plymouth, Rep. Hoxha again joined Sen. Martin for a wide-ranging discussion that included potential legislation about motor vehicles taxes and the importance of maintaining the fiscal guardrails that were put in place in 2017 through bipartisan compromise.

Rep. Hoxha is expected to hold future meetings with constituents later this year as the session progresses.
