LEDYARD – State Representative Greg Howard (R-43) ranking member of the Public Safety and Security Committee, today received the 2023 Police Officers Association of Connecticut (POACT) ‘Legislative Leadership Award’ at POACT’s annual Connecticut Police Officers Summit at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Ledyard.
“I am honored to receive this recognition from the brave men and women who serve daily on the front lines protecting the public,” said Rep. Howard, a legislator in his second term who is also a 21-year Stonington police detective. “As a legislator, I am committed to supporting policy that gives our state and local law enforcement the necessary tools to keep our communities safe.”
The organization presents this award to Connecticut lawmakers who are dedicated to the representation and professionalism of police officers in the state at the legislature.
The CPCA Legislative Award is presented to legislators who have stood out among their colleagues for their work in supporting in a variety of police related issues.
