State Rep. Greg Howard proudly represents the 43rd Assembly District, covering Stonington and North Stonington He began his first term on January 6, 2021, Howard serves on the following legislative committees, Judiciary, Public Safety and Security and Appropriations.

Greg Howard began serving as a EMS in 1995 with Westerly Ambulance, became an emergency dispatcher in 1998, an EMT in 1999.  He currently holds an EMT certification in CT as well as an EMS Instructor certification.

Greg attended the Community College of RI (54 credits).

He has been employed by the Stonington Police Department since 2002. He became a Field Training Officer in 2007, assigned to K-9 from 2008-2014, became a Detective in 2015 and is currently a Detective with the SPD.  Greg is also a certified police instructor in several areas.

Since 2017, Greg Howard has been the President and Coach of Stonington Youth Football, a play-for-free tackle football and cheer organization that is fully funded through fundraising.

Greg  has also been on the Board of Directors at the Westerly Yacht Club, overseeing club operations, member accountability, and general club business since 2019.

He was born and raised in Westerly, RI (the oldest of 3 children), where he spent most weekends at his grandparents’ Pawcatuck home.

Greg has been married to his wife Shana since 2008 and they have two sons.
