What a wonderful morning spent earlier today with the students and faculty at Memorial School in East Hampton to celebrate Read Across America! First, it was off to Mrs. Snyder’s kindergarten class where everyone was in a festive mood getting ready for St. Patrick’s Day! In the spirit of the upcoming holiday, I read “How to Catch a Leprechaun,” to the children and it was a blast! We had so much fun, we did it all over again when we got to Mrs. Lapierre’s kindergarten class.

The children were very engaged and even shared stories about their encounters with leprechauns. It is sure to be a fantastic Friday for them as they get ready for the weekend!

One of the most rewarding experiences I have as your state representative is meeting the students and the wonderful educators who do a great job for our community. I will have more adventures at local schools next week, and I will be sure to tell you all about it.
