Hartford—I was pleased to welcome three school groups from the 107th District to the state Capitol over the past week. Students from Christian Life Academy in Brookfield, St. Rose in Newtown, and St. Mary School in Bethel participated in tours of the Capitol while we were in session. I was able to introduce these groups on the House floor and then meet with the students to discuss the legislative process. My colleagues, Representative Mitch Bolinsky of Newtown and Senator Tony Hwang joined me as we told the students about the three branches of government and how a bill becomes a law. We also asked the fourth graders for their ideas on what they’d like to see enacted.
