    Friends and Neighbors,

Governor Lamont this evening announced another Executive Order – Executive Order 7I – which modifies policies within the Departments of Social Services (DSS), Children and Families (DCF), and Consumer Protection (DCP), modifies the Student Data Privacy Act, removes requirements for companies to hold shareholder meetings in-person and provides procedural relief for municipalities, among other things.

DSS – the governor’s order suspends co-payments for HUSKY B and Medicare Part D, and suspends limits on non-maintenance medications for HUSKY beneficiaries.

DCF – his order places limits on visitation with children in the system, limits visitors to facilities that treat children with psychiatric disabilities and waives requirements for certain in-person service and screenings.

DCP – today’s order allows pharmacists to refill non-controlled prescriptions for up to 30 days in some cases, and allows the Commissioner to waive certain pharmacy regulation operations.

Municipalities – the order grants certain procedural relief, including extending budget adoption deadlines and suspending in-person requirements for adopting budgets for the municipality, board of education, filing requirements related to municipal planning, assessment, and taxation. The order also extends deadlines regarding public hearings and appeals related to assessments and taxation, and suspends, modifies, and clarifies certain municipal procedural requirements and time limitations regarding notice, commencement, and holding of public hearings, decisions, and appeals, including land use and other municipal boards.
