Rep. Fishbein Receives Committee Assignments

The Connecticut House Republican Caucus recently announced that State Representative Craig Fishbein (R-90) will serve on three important committees for the 2019-2021 legislative session that begins on January 9, 2019.
After a caucus, House Republican Leader Themis Klarides announced legislative committee assignments for the upcoming session, including making Rep. Fishbein a member of the powerful Judiciary Committee and appointing him to serve on the Labor Committee. He was reappointed to the Public Safety Committee, a committee he served on during his first two-year term in office.
“I’m honored the people of Cheshire and Wallingford chose me to represent them in Hartford for a second term, and I’m excited to get back to work on the issues that are important to our district and the state overall,” Rep. Fishbein said. “I would also like to thank Rep. Klarides for allowing me the opportunity to serve on Judiciary and Labor, two important committees that have an incredible impact on how the state operates and how the legislature fulfills the fundamental goals of government.”
During his first term, Rep. Fishbein served on the Energy and Technology Committee, Public Safety Committee and Commerce Committee.
In a separate announcement by the legislature’s Conservative Caucus last week, Rep. Fishbein was elected to serve as Vice-Chair. The Conservative Caucus is a group of Connecticut legislators dedicated to the principles of limited government, economic freedom, and individual liberty.
