State Representatives Craig Fishbein and Lezlye Zupkus, and State Senator Rob Sampson held another successful “Coffee with your Legislators” event on June 25th at the Cheshire McDonald’s Restaurant.

The veteran legislators were joined by a group of constituents for engaging conversations and a lengthy question and answer session that covered important topics that included the recently ended regular and special legislative sessions, the $46 Billion state budget, legalized recreational marijuana, federal bailout funds, the state’s Covid-19 response and restrictions, and more.  The state budget dominated the conversation with many residents concerned about a potential fiscal cliff in two years when certain federal funds run out. Others were very concerned with legalized recreational marijuana and the effects it might have on children, education and public safety.

If you were unable to make it to this event, please note that Rep. Fishbein will be hosting another Coffee Hour in Wallingford on Friday, July 9th from 8-9 a.m. That event, which also features House Republican Leader Vin Candelora and State Senator Paul Cicarella, will be at Dad’s Restaurant located at 740 North Colony Rd. in Wallingford.
