Rep. Fishbein Earns High Marks for Vote Attendance

State Representative Craig Fishbein (R-90) earned a 99-percent voting record for all roll call votes taken on the floor of the House of Representatives during the 2017 Regular and Special Sessions, according to data recently released by the House Clerk’s Office. A total of 417 votes were cast in the House this session, and Representative Fishbein missed only three.
“It is my honor to serve the people of Wallingford and Cheshire in the legislature and I’m proud to have achieved near-perfect attendance in my first year as state representative,” Rep. Fishbein said. “This year, the budget deficit and an extended special session made it more difficult but I am committed to the people of the 90th district and will continue to represent their interest to the best of my ability.”
Rep. Fishbein is the first-term Republican in the House of Representatives and serves on the legislature’s Energy and Technology, Public Safety and Commerce Committees.
In addition to Rep. Fishbein’s excellent in-session voting record, and while the House Clerk does not keep a tally for the hundreds of votes taken during the committee process, Rep. Fishbein believes he also achieved a perfect committee voting record.
“The busy nature of the legislature’s committee process, the amount of votes taken at that level and the length of time it takes for legislation to get past a committee and onto the House floor is long and involved but I am also very pleased I was able to make each committee vote,” Rep. Fishbein said.
The next regular session of the legislature will convene in February of 2018.
