State Representative Craig Fishbein (R-90) today announced he has been appointed to the Working Group to Examine Broadband Internet and Data Privacy Laws by Senate Republican President Pro Tempore Len Fasano.
As a member of the legislature’s Energy and Technology Committee, and an attorney, Rep. Fishbein is acutely aware of the issues and intricacies surrounding the internet and its use, and how privacy law considerations affect Connecticut residents.
“I want to thank Senator Fasano for entrusting me with this responsibility and I look forward to learning even more about these issues and how they impact the people of Connecticut,” Rep. Fishbein said. “Privacy concerns will only increase as more people are connected online and I’m pleased to be a part of the working group tasked with examining and providing guidance on such a diverse topic.”
His term will begin immediately and will end as soon as the working group submits its report to the General Assembly, or on January 15, 2018, whichever date is later.
