Celebrating the Grand Reopening of PNA Park!

Threatening skies and stormy weather didn’t deter Polish National Alliance members, family, friends and local and state dignitaries from celebrating and dedicating the grand reopening of the PNA Park Lodge 513 clubroom and gathering area Friday night!
State Rep. Craig Fishbein presented an official state citation from the Wallingford delegation, and was joined Lt. Gov. Bysiewicz, town councilors, and about a hundred well wishers gathered for the formal ceremony and celebration! Wesley Musial, PNA Censor from Philadelphia attended the celebration and brought his congratulations form the national organization.
According to the website: The Polish National Alliance Lodge 513 in Wallingford, CT was founded April 13, 1900 and is dedicated to bringing people of Polish and Slavic heritage together for mutual aid, support, and camaraderie. They strive to preserve, foster, and continue proud Polish traditions throughout the community and beyond. PNA Lodge 513 members pride themselves on being an extended family and pledges their spirit and efforts to preserve and improve the lodge for its future family members.
In 1932, PNA Lodge 513 purchased 24 acres of land on North Plains Industrial Road, known then as Paden Park. Soon afterwards, it was renamed the Polish National Alliance Park. Then, the Polish community not only built a pavilion for dancing and parties, but also cleaned and developed the property and the pond. The PNA Park facility has been the scene of picnics, polka dances, festivals, non-profit/fundraising events, sports extravaganzas and much more.
