    The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced that a pavement marking project will be performed on certain State Routes, including Middlefield, starting on Sunday, August 6 through November 30, 2023.

    The project consists of pavement marking grooves and epoxy pavement marking applications on center lines, shoulder lines and handwork. This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, August 6, 2023, to Thursday, November 30, 2023, by Safety Markings, Inc.

    No work will be performed the day before or day after all State recognized holidays.

    LANE CLOSURE INFO

    Traffic control personnel, sign patterns, cones, and truck mounted attenuators will guide drivers through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Sunday – Friday on secondary routes and 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Friday on expressways.

    The following local roadways are included in this project:

    • 10: CHESHIRE & SOUTHINGTON
    • 322: WOLCOTT & SOUTHINGTON
    • 66E: MERIDEN & MIDDLEFIELD
    • 66W: MERIDEN & MIDDLEFIELD
    • 91N: HARTFORD & MERIDEN
    • 91S: HARTFORD & MERIDEN

    Drivers should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions and are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in these areas.
