In recognition of Black Owned Business Month, State Representative Craig Fishbein joined Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysieweicz for a tour of one of Wallingford’s newest businesses, Nutmeg Kettlecorn, located at 2 Chapel Street, Suite 6. Robbin and Herb Jackson opened the store to continue a family tradition and they offer more than 21 different combinations of flavors. Of course, they have “standard” kettlecorn, and flavors like caramel and salt and sweet, but also have unique mixes with other flavors that include chocolate, cherry, banana, unicorn mix, blonde mix and many more. The shop also stocks a large selection of local and women-made or women-business-owned products, including jewelry, scarves, sparkling wines, chocolates and more.
Wallingford Economic Development Director Don Crouch was also on hand to celebrate and discuss local and state programs to help their business flourish and succeed.
The Record-Journal covered the event, too.
