    Election Day information

In advance of Tuesday, I want to make sure you know the voting procedures for the upcoming general election.

    • Election Day Registration: Anyone who missed the deadline to register to vote has the ability to both register and cast a ballot on the same day as the election. However, anyone doing this must register in person, and they cannot do it at their polling place. Rather, Election Day Registration is available at only one specific location in each town, beginning at 6 a.m. and ending at 8 p.m. Click here for a list of Election Day Registration locations.
    • Town-by-Town Sample Ballots: Sample ballots for every town in the state have been published on the state’s website. Take a look at what the ballots for your town will look like before you step into the voting booth.
    • Polling Place Locator: To find where your polling place is located, just enter your information into this locator.
    • Check the Status of Your Absentee Ballot: If you’ve requested an absentee ballot or already filled it out and sent it back, you can check the status of that information by simply entering your details into this useful tool.

For other resources, check out Connecticut’s voting headquarters at myvote.ct.gov.

The hours of voting on November 3 are from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
