In a press release, Connecticut State Community College (CT State) announced the launch of free statewide small business and startup seminars designed to help bring education, training, and mentorship to businesses that are navigating the post-COVID environment.

The seminars are offered through mid-December and cover a variety of topics intended to address the real-world problems businesses currently face.

Topics include e-commerce, social media, cybersecurity, blockchain, financing, startup law, and startup fundraising, with more seminars to come. Taught by experts in their fields, most sessions offer a virtual and an in-person experience, and are designed to help entrepreneurs develop their business and overcome their most pressing challenges. In-person seminars take place across the state, hosted at local colleges, co-working spaces, or the local chamber of commerce in each region.

These seminars are supported by the Werth Center for Entrepreneurship at Housatonic Community College and the Northwestern Connecticut Community College Entrepreneurial Center. Seminar attendees can pursue additional mentorship, resources, and programming through these centers for entrepreneurship to continue their momentum with additional support and training.

To participate in a seminar, visit http://www.ctstate.edu/state-seminars to register. For additional questions about these seminars contact NCCC Entrepreneurial Center Director John Fiorello at jfiorello@nwcc.edu.
