Celebrate Wallingford, Guess the Pumpkin’s Weight a HUGE Success!

State Rep. Craig Fishbein joined thousands of Wallingford residents, and people from the surrounding communities, for the annual Celebrate Wallingford festival on October 2nd, where he hosted a guess the pumpkin’s weight contest. Rep. Fishbein also handed out free mini pumpkins thanks to a generous donation by Geremia Farms. The event was a huge success and more than 600 peope stopped by to chat or register a guess.

The pumpkin weighed 27.88 pounds and the closest guess – without going over, aka: “The Price is Right rule” – was 27.50 pounds. A second lucky winner was also chosen from the mini pumpkin giveaway and both winners will receive a personal, guided tour of the state capitol and legislative office building by Rep. Fishbein at date to be scheduled.
