For the second consecutive year, Connecticut’s largest business organization recognized State Representative Craig Fishbein (R-90) with a perfect voting score on key bills during the 2024 legislative session that shape Connecticut’s business climate and spur economic growth.

The Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA) ranked all state lawmakers based on their support for the business community’s positions on 12 important policies. The bills all affect job creation, small business growth and economic stability in Connecticut.

The scorecard was calculated using select pieces of legislation and may reflect votes from committee, the House, or both. In earning a perfect score, Rep. Fishbein was glad to have supported the following bills:

    • Economic Development SB 250 – An act concerning the global entrepreneur in residence program.
    • Childhood Education HB 5002 – An act concerning early childhood care and education.
    • Genome Sequencing HB 5367 – An act concerning Medicaid coverage of rapid whole genome sequencing for critically ill infants and studies concerning the elimination or reduction of the Katie Beckett waiver program waiting list and Medicaid coverage of diapers
    • Teacher Certification HB 5436 – An act concerning educator certification, teachers, paraeducators and mandated reporter requirements.
