    Status of Power outages

    On Eversource’s outage map there are 2904 people out of power in South Windsor.

    Comfort and Charging Centers :

    The Community Center located at 150 Nevers Rd is open today, 8/7/20 as a charging station for those without power from 8:00am-4:30pm. They will be open over the week end. If you need to charge any of your devices be sure to bring your own adapters and cords, they will not be provided.

    Masks must be worn at all times inside the building and social distancing guidelines must be followed.

    South Windsor Public Library at 1550 Sullivan Ave is open today, 8/7/20 as a charging station for those without power from 8:00am-4:30pm. They will be closed over the weekend. If you need to charge any of your devices be sure to bring your own adapters and cords, they will not be provided.

    Brush and Limb Drop Off from Tropical Storm

    South Windsor Public Works Department has partnered with Distinctive Tree Care to provide a drop off site for brush and limbs for South Windsor Residents. A Town Employee will be at this location ensuring that there are no rocks or stumps being dropped off and mixed into the loads. Proof of South Windsor residency such as an ID will be requested when dropping off debris at this location. Drop off will be at this location until August 19th.
    Location: 595 Nutmeg Road North South Windsor, CT
    Hours: Monday – Saturday 8am – 5 pm (until further notice)

    Storm Related Needs

    Today, the Town established a telephone number for residents to call if they have any storm related needs (I.e. water, showers, food). That number is 860-337-6195.
