Here is some good news on the crumbling foundation issue! An agreement has been reached between the State of Connecticut and Becker Construction Company, extending the prohibition on utilizing stone aggregate from Becker Quarry for an additional year.
Becker Quarry has been identified as a hot spot for pyrrhotite, the mineral that causes concrete foundations to crumble. I’d like to thank the Attorney General and the DCP Commissioner for their work on this. To view the full agreement, click on the letter below.
