Delnicki Thanks South Windsor Residents Joining Him for Coffee

SOUTH WINDSOR – State Representative Tom Delnicki (R-14) hosted an engaging “Coffee & Conversation” event at The Red Cabin to discuss the upcoming 2024 legislative session and answered questions about the major issues to be debated.

“It was great to hear from so many people on the important issues that matter most to them,” said Rep. Delnicki. “The affordability to live in Connecticut was the top priority for many in attendance. Many South Windsor residents were concerned about the governor’s proposal to ban gas-powered and forcing all residents to buy expensive electric vehicles starting in 2035.”

Other issues discussed at the coffee involved; Tom’s continued work to help those with crumbling foundations, how the so-called police accountability law has made it harder for law enforcement officers to do their job. Some South Windsor constituents didn’t understand why the super-majority in the legislature passed a law forbidding police officers from being pulled over for smoking cannabis while driving unless there is separate traffic infraction broken. Rep. Delnicki agreed that the law makes no sense and could cause harm to other motorists on the road.

Delnicki added, “While the new session starts on February 7th, my focus will be on making our communities affordable and financially attractive for families, retirees, and businesses.”
