State Representative Tom Delnicki (R-14) attended an Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Daksh Singh, who has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Scouting, by planning, developing, and giving leadership to others in a community-centered service project.

His project at Nowashe Village, owned and operated by the Friends of Wood Memorial Library & Museum in South Windsor, Connecticut, focused on revitalizing the village’s council ring – an important space used to educate visitors about the Podunk Native American tribe.

Daksh led the construction of four handcrafted log benches inspired by traditional Native American design, rebuilt the firepit to be safer and more authentic, and improved the surrounding area. His work has created a lasting impact on this historic site, enhancing its use for cultural programs and local elementary school field trips.

Daksh has served in several important leadership positions in Troop 62 including Librarian, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, and Den Chief supporting Cub Scout Pack 390. Daksh is also an active member of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s National Honor Society. He currently serves as Chapter Chief of the Mantis Chapter, where he helps plan and lead events, encourages service, and supports younger Arrowmen across his area.
