This past legislative session, the budget (PA 21-2) created a tax amnesty program for taxpayers who owe back state taxes. This program is available from November 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022. The program covers any tax period ending on or before December 31, 2020. There is no limit on how far back one can go. Individuals and businesses are eligible for this program.
