    ⚠️The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will begin installing Wrong Way Driver Countermeasure Systems on Route 8 in Torrington starting Monday, March 10, 2025.
    LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO:
    🚧Route 8 Southbound at Exit 49:
    The ramp will be closed on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Traffic will be detoured as follows: Take Exit 46 southbound, turn left onto Litchfield Road. Turn left onto Route 8 northbound. Take Exit 49 northbound.
    🚧Route 8 Northbound at Exit 49:
    The ramp will be closed on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Traffic will be detoured as follows: Take Exit 50 northbound, turn left onto East Main Street. Turn left onto Route 8 southbound. Take Exit 49 southbound.
    🚧Route 8 Northbound at Exit 46:
    The ramp will be closed on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Traffic will be detoured as follows: Take Exit 49 northbound, turn left onto Harwinton Avenue. At the stop sign turn left continuing onto Harwinton Avenue. Enter Route 8 southbound. Take Exit 46 southbound.
    🚧Route 8 Northbound at Exit 44:
    The ramp will be closed on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Traffic will be detoured as follows: Take Exit 46 northbound, turn left onto Route 118. Turn left onto Route 8 southbound and take Exit 44 southbound.
    Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
