HARTFORD – On Wednesday morning, the Connecticut House of Representatives convened for the 2025 Legislative Session. Representative Jay Case (R-Winsted) was sworn-in to a new term, kicking off the new law-making period that will conclude in the first week of June. After being sworn-in, the House established the operating rules for the chamber and committee processes. Following the House session, a joint session was held with the Senate and Judicial Branch to hear the Governor’s State of the State address.

“It continues to be an honor serving the communities of the 63rd District: Colebrook, Torrington, and Winchester. We have our work cut-out for us in the upcoming session, but I remain optimistic that we can make great strides in improving the lives of Connecticut residents and attracting more businesses,” said Case.
