State Rep. Jay Case had a busy weekend March 8-10, visiting numerous community events in his district, which includes Colebrook, Goshen, Torrington and Winchester.

IMG950952Rep. Case, R-63, kicked-off the weekend Friday by attending a fundraiser for LARC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, and to support their families.

The following day, March 9, Rep. Case joined the 10th annual Special Olympics Penguin Plunge, where attendees dipped into a cold Highland Lake for the benefit of the organization.

Sunday provided an opportunity for Rep. Case to witness a Goshen resident receive his Eagle Scout. Brian Robert Maeder, a member of Troop35, received his Eagle pin, scarf and badge, joining the ranks at the Church of Christ Congregational in Goshen.

“It was a busy weekend, but an eventful one,” Rep. Case said. “It was worth every minute. My constituency pours their time and efforts into these organizations, and they deserve the utmost recognition. I’m just there to celebrate it with them.”
