Meet the Leaders - 060413_9684aLITCHFIELD – State Rep. Jay Case (R-63) sat down this week with Cablevision’s Jeff Zeiner to discuss several issues impacting the northwest corner of Connecticut on ‘Meet the Leaders’.

Filmed in the historic State Capitol in Hartford, the individual segments will air throughout the upcoming week, beginning on Sunday, and will tackle hard-hitting issues that state legislators faced during the 2013 legislative session. Other members of the House Republican caucus, including State Reps. Craig Miner (R-66), John Piscopo (R-76) and Sean Williams (R-68), will be on the show, too.

Rep. Case, a freshman legislator serving on the Appropriations, Energy & Technology, Environment and Human Services committees, spoke with Zeiner about the first half of his initial term, along with a victorious battle against a Democratic proposal that would have shrunk drug-free school zones from 1,500 feet to 300 feet. He also discussed budget implications and his proposal that improves cost-saving initiatives for public school transportation.

The segments with the northwest delegation will air on the below dates on local Channel 5:
    • Sunday, June 9, at 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30 a.m.; and 6:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.
