    TORRINGTON – A milling and resurfacing project will begin on Route 272 Monday, September 14 and is expected to end on Friday, October 2. Expect delays between the hours of construction, which are scheduled as 7:00 AM through 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday.

    Lane closures will occur on Route 272 between Route 4 and Route 263.

    Please allow extra time if you are traveling this route over the coming weeks and be cognizant for control personnel guiding traffic patterns.

    Milling and Resurfacing, Route 272 in Torrington and Goshen

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 272 in Torrington and Goshen.

    Body of the Message
    The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 6.02 mile segment of Route 272 in Torrington and Goshen. This project is scheduled to occur Monday, September 14, 2015 to Friday, October 2, 2015.

    This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2015 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

    LANE CLOSURE INFO
    Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 272 between Route 4 and Route 263. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday).

    Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
