WINSTED- On Thursday, August 7th, State Representative Jay Case joined State Senator Stephen Harding for a visit to the Winsted Senior Center, where they met with local residents for a productive and engaging discussion on key community issues.

During the visit, participants raised thoughtful questions on a range of topics, including the state budget, fiscal policies, solar development, and electric rates. The conversation reflected a strong interest in how state-level decisions affect daily life in the region.

Rep. Case expressed appreciation for the opportunity to hear directly from constituents, noting that open dialogue like this plays a critical role in shaping responsive, informed policymaking.

“Community input is essential,” he said. “These conversations help ensure that the work we do in Hartford is grounded in the real needs and priorities of the people we represent.”

Rep. Case and Sen. Harding thanked all who attended and look forward to continuing these important conversations in the future.
