Winsted – State Rep. Jay Case (R-Winsted) was at Mary P. Hinsdale Elementary School on Monday morning to participate in Read Across America. This annual event was inspired by Dr. Seuss’ birthday and is a campaign to get children interested in reading.
“It was enlightening seeing all the students interacting with the story I read to them today. I read, ‘Do Not Lick This Book,’ which is a great story about the microorganisms that are on all sorts of objects we come across on a daily basis. This ties into a science unit the students are learning about,” said Case.
