CASE EARNS 100% VOTING RECORD; FOUR PERFECT YEARS

HARTFORD – According to statistics provided by the House Clerk’s Office, for the fourth year in a row, State Representative Jay Case (R-Winsted) achieved a perfect, one-hundred-percent, voting record.
During the 2016 Legislative Session, Rep. Case cast votes on all 313 separate pieces of legislation that came up for consideration on the floor of the House of Representatives. Only about 30 percent of legislators achieved a perfect voting record this session.
“As your representative, I take my voting responsibilities seriously because that is the most direct way in which legislators are able to influence public policy,” stated Rep. Case. “For my entire time serving in office, I have never missed a vote. The people in the Northwest Corner put their faith in me to serve as their representative and they deserve a voice on every piece of legislation that comes before the legislature.”
Throughout the 2016 session, Case led the fight on social services issues by serving as co-chair of the legislature’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Caucus. Case also serves as the Ranking Member of the Internship Committee, and is a member on the Appropriations, Environment, and Human Services Committees.
The 2017 Legislative Session will convene in January.
