HARTFORD – State Representative Jay Case (R-63) appeared on Cablevision’s “Meet the Leaders” on the opening day of session, February 3rd. During his interview with Jeff Zeiner, Rep. Case stated that open transparency, shrinking government are two initiatives that Republicans have been seeking for years and it was refreshing to hear the governor mention those two topics in his State of the State Address. Further, Rep. Case noted that allowing state agency heads to have more budgeting autonomy only muddies the budgetary waters and that the presentation of core services must be fully transparent and subject to the legislature’s approval.
