HARTFORD — State Rep. Jay Case this year continued his exemplary record of service to constituents by registering a 100 percent House voting record during the 2015 legislative session. It’s an accomplishment Case has achieved each year he has been in office, dating back to 2013.
Case, a fiscally-conservative Republican representing Colebrook, Goshen, Winchester and Torrington cast 379 votes on the floor of the state’s House of Representatives. Only about 20% of House legislators notched that accomplishment.
He is one of only a handful of state legislators who have maintained a perfect voting record for more than three years.
“I realize that I am here to act as the voice of people in the towns I represent,” said Case, who co-chairs the legislature’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Caucus. “My voting record is something I take seriously because it ensures that the community’s voice is heard inside the Capitol.”
Case is Ranking Member on the General Assembly’s Internship Committee and also serves on the Appropriations and Human Services committees.
