HARTFORD – For the second straight year, State Rep. Jay Case, R-63, achieved a 100 percent voting record during the legislative session, never missing a vote during his first term.

“My goal as state representative is to ensure the towns of Colebrook, Goshen, Torrington and Winchester have a strong voice in Hartford,” Rep. Case said. “It’s a job I take seriously because the people who elected me deserve serious representation. Look at some of the issues we’ve gone up against and then look at the ones we’ve championed. My votes mirror the hard work ethic and values prevalent in the 63rd assembly district, and it’s an honor to serve in that manner.”

The House Clerks Office announced the data on members’ votes this week.

A perfect voting record is difficult to achieve. Only a third of House legislators throughout the state House and Senate achieve perfect attendance.

The 2014 legislative session, which convened in February and culminated on May 7 at midnight, consisted of 309 votes. Rep. Case, a member of the Appropriations, Energy & Technology, Environment and Human Services committees, pressed the green “Yea” or red “Nay” button at his desk in the historic House chambers on every single one.

The 2015 legislative session will begin in January.
