House & Senate Republicans have unveiled a six-point energy proposal that will cut costs and create greater transparency on this important issue. While ideas to lower your bills have largely been ignored by the majority, there is plenty of time in the current legislative session to take meaningful action!

Our plan would:
Remove Public Benefits Charges from electric billsProhibit agreements that buy electricity at 150 % above the wholesale priceRedefine “Class I renewable energy source” to include anyelectricity generated from a hydropower or nuclear power generating facility
Separate PURA from DEEPEliminate any incentive program that increases electric demand, including, any electric vehicle rebate programStudy ways to increase the supply of natural gas
