HARTFORD – The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA), the state’s leading business advocacy group, has released its 2023 legislative voting record. The organization based its assessment of the legislature on a framework of bills that signal support to Connecticut-owned and operated businesses, greater economic opportunities, and overall affordability. According to CBIA, State Rep. Jay Case earned a 100% voting record in the 2023 session.

“The membership of CBIA has an important voice at the Capitol and I am glad that my voting record in the 2023 legislative session matches their vision of creating a more prosperous environment for businesses and their employees,” said Rep. Jay Case, whose district includes Colebrook, Torrington, and Winsted.

Case supported several pieces of legislation that CBIA considered in their legislative voting record, including a new law encouraging first-time homebuyers to purchase a house. Additionally, he supported a new law that seeks to foster relationships with colleges and universities to better establish a workforce development pipeline.

You can learn more about the CBIA’s ranking of the legislative session by clicking here. The 2024 legislative session will convene on Wednesday, February 7th.
