ARC Family Day is always an exciting one at the Capitol. According to Rep. Case, hundreds of families came to the Capitol today to explain why social services are so important to their everyday lives. It’s one thing to look at the cost of a program on a sheet of paper, but it’s another to hear about the effects of a cut. Legislators heard powerful stories of how life improving services, funded by the state, are so beneficial to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Rep. Case conclude, “I commend the families who came in and met with us today, your stories have an impact on what we do!”
