Carpino Tours Cromwell Amazon Center

CROMWELL- State Representative Christie Carpino (32) toured the Amazon fulfillment center in Cromwell.

The Amazon facility opened their doors of the 400,000 square-foot building in 2020. Rep. Carpino walked the floor with Amazon representatives and viewed the state-of-the art technology used to pack and ship larger customer items such as mattresses, large-screen televisions, BBQ grills and exercise equipment, like treadmills to communities across the state and the Northeastern region.

“It was important to tour Amazon’s Cromwell facility and see firsthand the jobs it supports right here in our community. Facilities like this show the important role that innovation and logistics play in keeping our economy moving while providing stable employment for local families,” said Rep. Carpino.

Amazon also discussed with Rep. Carpino how they work to find opportunities for local community involvement.
