Storm Recovery Update:
There is a FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) opening on Thursday, September 15th, in East Haven to assist home owners and businesses affected by Tropical Storm Irene.
The center is located at
East Haven Beach House at 160 Cosey Beach Avenue in East Haven, CT
with regular hours Monday through Saturday from 9AM to 7PM and Sunday from 10AM to 3PM.
If you or someone you know experienced damage or losses as a result of the tropical storm and plan to stop by the recovery center, be sure to register with FEMA beforehand by either calling 800-621-FEMA (3362) or going online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov. For those with speech or hearing disabilities, the TTY number is 800-462-7585.
The DRCs will be staffed with state and federal disaster recovery experts, including representatives from the Small Business Administration, who will provide information and answer questions about disaster assistance programs.
