The State Board of Education formed an Ad Hoc Committee to study funding for the Public School Choice Program. Rep. Candelora is one of 3 legislators on a16 member advisory committee to consider alternative, more equitable ways to fund the education of students in Connecticut's public school choice programs. The programs being reviewed include charter schools, magnet schools, regional vocational-agriculture schools, OPEN Choice program and technical high schools. Recommendations will be made to develop legislative proposals that will support a balanced, coherent system for funding public schools statewide.
