    Public Announcement: Hospital of Saint Raphael to Host Free Public Forum “Ask the Pharmacist: What you need to know about medications”

      The Hospital of Saint Raphael will host a free public forum Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Hartog Activity Center of the Ashlar Village in Wallingford.

    To register for the forum call 203.789.3905 or go online to www.srhs.org/education.

    The forum will feature Ms. Whitney Hung, PharmD who is the Clinical Pharmacy Manager at the Hospital of Saint Raphael.  She is currently a registered pharmacist who specializes in infectious diseases. Ms. Hung also serves on the faculty of the School of Pharmacy at the University of Connecticut.

    The forum program will include a presentation followed by a question and answer session. Ms. Hung’s presentation will feature the benefits and risks of medication therapy, tips on how to recognize common problems with mediation use, how to improve medication use, as well as providing helpful information about understanding differences between various types of medications. The forum is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available. Ashlar Village is located at 70 Cheshire Road in Wallingford and the forum will take place in Auditorium C of the Hartog Activity Center.
