HARTFORD—House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora has been named a “Legislative Champion” by the Connecticut Oral Health Initiative Inc. (COHI) for his efforts to extend dental coverage to children, stepchildren and dependents up to 26-years-old through family plans. Candelora received the award at the capitol recently from Pareesa Charmchi Goodwin, executive director of COHI. Candelora, state representative for the 86th District, serves residents of North Branford, Guilford, Durham and Wallingford. COHI is a nonprofit organization that advocates for all Connecticut residents to have access to quality oral health services.
