| Dear Friends & Neighbors, Today, the Connecticut General Assembly convened the 2016 Legislative Session. The Opening Day ceremonies mark the beginning of the legislature’s “short session.” During this three month time period, my legislative colleagues and I will be focusing on budgetary matters, and we will also be debating on matters raised through the committee process. STAY INFORMED I encourage you to stay informed on legislative activity by checking the following resources: CT-N: Follow committee meetings and legislative debates as they unfold live on Connecticut's public affairs television network, CT-N, or by streaming the proceedings online here. The CGA Website: The Connecticut General Assembly website provides a variety of resources, including bill search and a daily calendar of events happening at the State Capitol. To visit the website, click here. Prior to the beginning of session, the state's non-partisan Office of Legislative Research (OLR) issued their annual report on important issues the General Assembly may face during the 2016 session.
