HARTFORD--A bevy of new laws, or aspects of previously enacted legislation, went into affect on October first, such as P.A. 24-39, An Act Supporting Connecticut Seniors and the Improvement of Nursing Home-Based Care. Among other measures, this law requires home health care, home health aide, homemaker companion, and hospice agencies to require employees to wear an identification badge with his or her name and photograph during each client appointment.
