THE PROJECT
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 147 (Middlefield Rd.) in Durham and Middlefield, beginning Thursday, April 7.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.06 mile segment of Route 147 (Middlefield Rd.) in Durham and Middlefield. The milling segment of this project is scheduled to begin on Route 147 (Middlefield Rd.) at Route 17 (Main St.) on Thursday, April 7. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Route 147 (Middlefield Rd.) at Route 17 (Main St.) on Monday, April 11, to Thursday, April 14.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Expect lane closures on Route 147 (Middlefield Rd.) from Route 17 (Main St.) to the beginning of the overlap of Route 157. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for the milling and resurfacing is 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Please be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Be sure to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
