    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 17 in Durham. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.94-mile segment of Route 17 in Durham from the North Branford/Durham town line to end at the overpass of Allyns Brook. This project is scheduled to begin milling on Monday, August 8, to Thursday, August 18. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, August 30, to Friday, September 16. This project is included in the District 1, Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program. LANE CLOSURE INFO Motorists can expect lane closures. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Sunday – Friday). Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity
