Rep. Noreen Kokoruda and Rep. Vincent Candelora on June 28 hosted a Legislative Update at Durham Town Hall. The lawmakers supported an alternative state budget plan which included no new taxes, provided property tax relief, and restored the governor’s funding cuts to towns, schools, seniors, and Connecticut’s most vulnerable residents. Unfortunately, their plan was not approved. Kokoruda and Candelora discussed their continuing efforts to put Connecticut’s finances on a sustainable path, answered taxpayers’ questions and urged the public to contact them regarding any issue.
