State Rep. Vincent Candelora praises a grant awarded to the following town halls: $6,000.00 to Guilford, $24,800.00 to North Branford and $36,800.00 to Wallingford. The grants will be used to connect more town government services to the state’s high speed internet network.
“This grant will serve as a cost-saving proponent to the towns of Guilford, North Branford and Wallingford. Another beneficial factor to this grant is that it will also aid in improving our efficiency,” said Candelora.
The towns will use the awarded grant for infrastructure costs associated with connecting town government to the state’s Nutmeg Network which includes all municipal services.
The Nutmeg Network is the state’s fiber-optic infrastructure providing reliable, high-speed internet access to users throughout Connecticut. This network is already made available to schools, libraries and emergency services around the state.
