The unemployment debt crisis is a critical issue for the state’s business community as it looks toward recovery, and today House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora helped spotlight a concept (H.B. 5607) that’s been a priority for House Republicans—applying federal aid to ease the looming burden of unemployment taxes used to repay what the state has borrowed to cover pandemic-related unemployment compensation benefits.
