Candelora Honors Joe DeFrancesco, 2016 National Outstanding Young Farmer Award Winner

Rep. Candelora honors Joe DeFrancesco and Ida DeFrancesco (not pictured above), of Farmer Joe's Gardens in Wallingford for being chosen as the 2016 National Outstanding Young Farmers (NOYF) award winner on Tuesday, Apr. 5. Joe and Ida were one out of four national award winners this year. The group is designed to facilitate an exchange of ideas and friendship that encourages excellence and involvement in agriculture and the local, state, and national community. Candidates of NOYF are selected based on achievements in agricultural enterprises, involvement in the agriculture industry, local community and on their efforts in soil and water conservation.
